Hennock Hideaways is a small rural tent only camping site, perfect for families, ramblers and other lovers of the countryside. Back to Basic Camping, with hot showers, toilets, play area. All with a stunning view over the Teign Valley on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. To get to a view like we have, it takes at least a 10 minute drive from the main road through narrow lanes and steep hills. We can't accept Caravans or Motorhomes due to our licence. Tented camping only or if in a small campervan as your main vehicle there must be a tent that is used for sleeping in beside it. Length Limit for vehicles is 7 Metres Devon's finest Tap Water is provided. Three tap's for drinking are dotted around the field, however any tap you find here on your travels around the site is safe for drinking . We have a Chemical Disposal Point, it is hidden as it's ugly so just ask and we will point it out. We don't have a business waste collection, take your landfill rubbish home with you, we will happily recycle bottles, cans and cardboard, food, plastics. PLEASE SEPERATE INTO BINS PROVIDED. We don't allocate pitch sizes, bell tents and family tents, come in all shapes and sizes now, so as long as you keep at least 6 metres between you and your camping neighbour we won't tell you where to pitch. We don't have EHU but we do have an electric point near the shower block, so campers can blow up air beds and charge a power bank or phone, this is free for campers. Logs are available for sale on site, we also sell BBQ charcoal and fire lighters. A bag contains small logs, split to the right size for small fires. We want to save our grass, so bring a fire pit or basket, we supply small BBQ/fire baskets by the tea shed that you are welcome to use for a small fire. First come first serve basis. Stunning view. No electric hook up but two free charging points outside the showers. Showers and toilets down a steep slope. Worth it for the views. Drinking water available in different points on site. Fire pits free and available. No onsite shop but there is an honesty shop with fire wood, coal and a few drinks and snacks. Fridge and freezer space available also. Pizzas made to order 6-8pm every evening and breakfast available 8-10-'. Best to order beforehand
