This is a small campsite in the shadow of Bowes Castle. Lovely flat grassy field with some pitch's services with electricity and water. Small wash room with one shower and toilets. A caravan with an honesty shop with all sorts of things you could think off. Play area with swings and other rug rat stuff. Very friendly helpful chap on booking in and very reasonable prices. There is small outside covered area for dishwashing as well grey water disposal

Wonderful little campsite at the side of a farmer's home. They have heaps of animals including ducks, chickens, sheep and pigs. We didn't meet the owners as they are on holiday but met their relative who was super friendly and accommodating, even though we turned up on spec. One of the only campsites we could find close to Barnard Castle with showers and tent sites. Big paddock overlooking the moors with a river a short distance walk away and ruins of an old castle just down the way. We intended on only staying one night, but stayed two as the place was so lovely (even in the rain). Charged £6 per person, per night.
