Poplars Farm is situated on the edge of the Peak District in the picturesque Derbyshre Dales. Nestled close to the market town of Ashbourne, it is the perfect base from which to explore the charming green surrounds of Derbyshire. The site offers you the pleasant choice between the quiet solitude of beautiful countryside with its tumbling streams, natural landscapes and views or the many idyllic small villages and historic towns that make up this pleasantly rural area. With the popular walking, cycling, fishing and water sports location of Carsington Water only 2 miles away, it makes Poplars Farm the ideal place to take a break Poplars Farm is an independent, adults only site. The site is within easy reach of Carsington Water (2 miles), Ashbourne, the Peak District and many other attractions. We are also on a bus route (bus stop directly opposite) and the site itself is easily accessible from the A517. The site is for those wanting a quiet, peaceful retreat and we operate a strict quiet after 11pm policy. We have space for 5 caravans/ motor homes, 6 tents and also 3 glamping pods. New for 2019 is a dog-friendly pod. Visitors with trailer tents/ folding campers have the option of hard standing or grass pitches with ehu. There are two shower/ toilet blocks, also with washing up facilities plus a washing machine and tumble drier and refrigerator with freezer compartment. Whilst we are open all year round, we do not allow awnings in the winter when the grass by the hard standings may be too wet. Two public houses in the village serve food and many other pubs within a couple of miles. There is also a shop in the village. Free wi-fi is available.
