Description

Parking in small carpark outside the pub, suitable for campervans. Free with the purchase of food or drinks. The pub, formerly known as The Trent Navigation and The Navigation Inn, takes its name from Trent Lock. As well as marking the point where the River Trent and River Soar meet with the beginning of the Erewash canal, the lock sits on the border of three counties: Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. A country pub near you oozing rural charm and rustic character, our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pubfood on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar. Whether you are planning dinner with friends or Sunday lunch with family, book a table online and enjoy some quality time with those you love the most. We also have a vegan menu at The Trent Lock in Nottingham available 6 days a week. There's no shortage of things to do in and around Sawley, on both land and water. Cycling and walking in the Trent Valley Way or on the 'Big Track', boating at the marina, or maybe some wildlife spotting at the nearby Attenborough Nature Reserve? Plenty of activities to work up a healthy appetite, making The Trent Lock the perfect place to refuel and refresh.
