Description
Quite a large parking area off of the A3 Portsmouth Road (Heading towards Guildford). The car park is just a few hundred metres from the M25. There is a café there and toilets too (These are not 24 hours).
Walking in the area is great and there is a semaphore tower nearby (This dates from the Napoleonic War).
The reserve is a nationally important site for dragonflies and damselflies, with twenty species recorded. It also attracts many rare birds, including the hobby, which is one of the few creatures that can actually catch dragonflies.
No camping or overnight parking.
