Ruins of an old castle on the hill top. There are interpretive signs and you can also get an audio tour from the website which is highly recommended. You can also see some of the castle's artifacts at the Kendal museum.

Stunning 800yr old castle, overlooking the historic town of Kendal. Steepish ascent via Parr Street and Sunnyside. For those who cannot manage this climb it can also be reached via Castle Road. Good for dog walking. The castle is not wheelchair accessible.
