Description
St Mary's Chapel was constructed in the 13th century, and is one of the oldest structures still standing in North East Scotland. The structure is thought to have been erected by William Comyn as a private chapel, dedicated to a son who was drowned accidentally in a well.
The remains of St Mary's Chapel were consolidated as part of Aberdeenshire's Historic Kirkyards project in 2006.
